how to make something bounce when touching a color in scratch

For your program my thoughts would've been that the hard bit would be the bounce, both in detecting and then getting an accurate one. Do you think about what tasks should be performed by the different sprites/clones before you start building the program? Even if your approach is trial and error, you probably have an initial concept of how a program like the bouncing clones should look like, right?Assuming by procedure you mean a More Block then they are local to a sprite so maintain your object independence. Does that make sense? I'm interested in how you approach a new scratch program.

Creating a central procedure to determine collisions, in my mind, does not fit that paradigm. It seems to me scratch is all about writing programs where independent objects interact with each other. So knowing that a Scratch touching block by itself does not give you an indication of where a touch occurs and is also relatively slow to compute then I'd know I wouldn't use one. At the moment your bounces are a 180 degree turn which is not how a bounce should behave.
